Keeping the spirits up in these ‘different’ times
We have been quite surprised to see how well our 50% offer has been received. September, helped by the Heritage Weekend holiday, has seen a pleasing number of guests joining us on the estate, enjoying our peace and serenity and getting back to nature. There is ample space for ‘social distancing’ on our 450 hectare estate, lots of nature trails to walk (or take a mountain bike), or a gentle amble through the olive grove (but not much happening at the moment as we await the flowering season). Late spring is a beautiful time of year when a lot of the fynbos flowers, there are 9000 species and whilst we may not have them all we certainly have enough to indicate the amazing diversity of nature. The weather can be unpredictable, some days perfect to sunbathe by the pool and try out the heated jacuzzi, others more suited to lighting the logs in your in-room fireplace and snuggling up.
Now that restrictions are being eased we are hopeful that international tourism will pick up, but we feel it may take a while and it is important to try to keep the local economy moving – already our local suppliers are delighted to receive our orders generated by the September bookings. So, we thought, why not do it some more and extend the offer throughout November to try to encourage more guests to enjoy this wonderful estate.
For the month of OCTOBER and NOVEMBER 2020 we will be reducing our bed & breakfast rates by a massive 50%
Double Room (2 guests) - normal price ZAR4250 – Special ‘Covid’ rate ZAR2125 per night
Single Room (1 guest) – normal price XAR 3190 –Special ‘Covid’ rate ZAR1595 per night
*** Minimum length of stay of TWO nights***
We received very favourable comments about our breakfasts and estate cuisine dinners, at a reduced promotional rate of ZAR400 per person, and sales of our estate pressed extra virgin olive oil will hopefully encourage our guests to come back for more. In fact we have already received some return bookings to take advantage of the offer.
